BEOR4237Because every picture tells a story.
The picture of a boy that makes his dream come true, a strong passion has to be told.
I introduce you Francesco Faraldo.

Hi Francesco, let’s start from you post on facebook.

“Because every picture tells a story”, tell us your story.

because every picture tells a story

Who are you ?

As i always say : i’m just a young boy who follows his dream. I live for this passion, mostly for races ( i often hear about passion, but i realize that most people haven’t get the true meaning of this word yet). I’m not a mechanic or an engineer, i haven’t even studied mechanics at school, i graduated in chemistry. So we cab say i’m an autodidact.

Where are you from ?

I grew in a small town in montepulciano. I moved to london for a few years to work and learn the english language (without attending classes or schools). I’ve also live for one year in Port Erin in Isle of man. Now i’m moving again, this time to Ireland, in this way i can manage the 2019 season in a better way.

How did you end up into the road races ?

From 2011 to 2013 i took part in some races of the speed climb italian championship. There i met an amazing person, full of true passion, who introduced me to this world, thanks to his tales about personal experiences lived in Ireland, Dario Cecconi. One in a million. In that occasion began the interest in this races, true loves blossomed when i saw my first TT.

How FaraldoRacing was born ?

As i concluded the first motorbike phase, and since the interest to my products shown by english and irish, i decided to create a website with a more specific name for the race’s world, in order to be identified in a easier way, So in 2017 Faraldo Racing was created.

And how did you end up in TT ?

In 2017 during the two weeks of the TT i walked around the paddock many times, i distribuited fliers and talked with teams and pilots to promote my products. After few mounths Rikki McGovern’s father contacted me and he asked me many parts for his lightweight. I proposed him to run with my motorbike, but using his engine. He agreed and so started this collaboration.

This year Faraldo Racing will run with a Moto3 and Derek McGee as pilot, a big task.

How did you get into this choice ?

From the market values of both motorbikes (lightweight and Moto3) that i explained in the last interview with Marta Covioli on Road Racing Core, and also from the need to learn and become bigger.
The aim of the last season was to be a part of this world and bring the pilots and teams attention to products. I surely didn’t expect the interest that i actually received. I’m absolutely not in the position to decide one pilot rather tham another one, but i can choose on which motorbike invest, and this is the final choice that make a pilot come around. After a few message with Derek’s mechanic, i went to his house and we talked about the choice to make him run with my Moto3, so our collaboration started.

I discovered your project thanks to Marta Covioli and RRC, the idea of a boy that buy an ER6, change and get it to the races in TT hit me ! So much for young italian guys lazy and dead beat.

How the idea was born?

The idea was born during my stay in the Isle of Man. I saw for the first time live this lightweight and i fell in love with their sound. In Italy there was a Kawasaki ER6N with a dneap prepared engine and so i decided to leave the isle of man to try this project.

Did You do it yourself ?

What happened to the motorbike ?

I regretfully had to sell it to get the money for the Moto3. I’m sure that the current champion of the Belgian twin throphy will pursue my works and he will try again to win the championship with my old motorbike.

Is your Kit for sale, isn’t it?

Yes, it is. Many english and irish pilots / Team use my kits. The greatest satisfaction is that the feedbacks are always positive overall for tha quality of my products.

There will be a new similar project in future ?

It was really hard to carry a plan like this all alone and i am so proud of that. Until few years ago i did not think that you could do so may things without money and knowledges. As i wrote in a post on Instagram and Facebook :” Opportunities don’t happen, you create them”. It’s true. Back to the question , yes, very likely. I’m young and i have a lot of experiences to do.

In Italy two wheelers are religion, but road races are like a taboo.

Have you ever been contacted by company or have you ever had a support ?

I was aware of this taboo, but i tried to get an help anyway.
I proposed an motorbike’s fairings with names, but as you can see in the picture on the motorbike’s fairings
there was no name. I also opened an online crowdfunding but with non success. The same happened with companies. Some holdings tried to do a three for two offer, but those two pieces cost actually almost like three, so i’ve never accepted. On the contrary if i needed a single replacement i bought it directly full price in other shops.
Moreover many broken promises, i’m still waiting for material from some companies.
Micozzi Ingranaggi and Sitta are the only firms which supplied me the promise material. I want to thankboth of them and congratulate for the quality of ther product.

Back into your project and season 2019.
